500+ pounds collected as a team, I personally collected around 170:)
The day of the run is a day off officially(we have one "charity day"a year when we can not work and do charity work) but as I'm in Paris on Monday I decided to go to work and run in my lunch break - thank God for my cool manager who'll run with me-i have zero knowledge of the area. So so far it's two of us and a cute guy from purchasing who runs marathons and will join us if he doesn't feel lazy that day.
Overall we're running-cycling-swimming 273k between beijing, new delhi, moscow, helsinki, europe and UK... To find out more check out our blog www.reachoutrelay.blogspot.com
Running for this relay brought me quite a few soft benefits- long-distance running def.makes you a better and a more resilient person. Endurance is something I needed lately and going from struggling 2K to easy 8K was a good proof that "impossible is nothin".
Hard benefits came in a smaller size and firmer muscles. Looking in the mirror and at the pictures became more enjoyable. Yesterday measured BMI in the gym - body fat 23% which is below average - "fitness level" (still far away from "athlete") and bmi is 18.8 which I guess is quite ok given how many tiramisu and milk chocolate I had in the last couple of weeks.
Please with me luck with last days run preparations and check out our blog for stories and pictures - www.reachoutrelay.blogspot.com
